How to Request a New Institutional Email Mailbox @umh.es
If you need to create a non-personal institutional email account (e.g., for a department, workgroup, or project), you can do so through the CAU (User Support Center) at Miguel Hernández University. Below is a step-by-step guide:
Steps to submit the request
- Access the CAU portal
Go to: https://cau.umh.es - Create a new ticket
Click on the “New ticket” option.

- Select the appropriate unit
In the ticket creation form, choose the following options in order:- Unit: User Support Center
- Category: ICT Requests
- Subcategory: Request for non-personal email account

- Fill out the request form
A form will appear where you must complete the following fields:- Desired email address
- Account description
- Account responsible person
- Start and end dates
- Delegated permissions (optional)

- Submit the request
Once the form is completed, click “Submit”.
What happens next?
- The CAU team will review and process your request.
- You will receive an email notification once the account has been created or if additional information is needed.
