In this guide, we will explain how to change the user and password for the Wifi connection of a Cisco CP-8821 telephone terminal.

These telephone terminals use the University’s wireless network to connect and make calls. Therefore, it is necessary to have a valid user to authenticate the device on the UMH Wifi network.

Detailed Guide

To access the configuration, from the phone’s home screen, we must press the bottom button of the selection wheel as shown in the image.

Once inside the configuration, we will follow these steps:

1. Access option 2 “Wi-Fi”
2. Access option 1 “UMH”
3. Access option 3 “WLAN Configuration”
4. Access option 3 “User ID” to modify the user identifier
5. Modify the user with the username followed by the domain
6. Press the menu button with the three dots and select “Set”
7. Access option 4 “Password” to modify the user’s password
8. Modify the user with the username followed by the domain
9. Press the menu button with the three dots and select “Set”
10. Finally, press the “Save” button to save the changes made.

We can return to the home screen by pressing the hang-up button.
