How to request the withdrawal of IT equipment
In this article we will explain how to request the withdrawal of IT equipment.
Article 7 of the Asset Management and Inventory Regulation of Miguel Hernández University of Elche states that each Organizational Unit is responsible for the custody of assigned movable assets, as well as for reporting any changes through the appropriate procedure to ensure they are reflected in the Inventory.
Steps to submit the request
- Access the CAU portal
Go to: https://cau.umh.es - Create a new ticket
Click on the option «New ticket».

- Select the appropriate unit
In the ticket creation form, select the following options in order:- Unit: User Support Center
- Category: IT Requests
- Subcategory: Request for IT equipment withdrawal

- Fill out the form
A form will open where you must complete the following fields:- Authorizer
- Person responsible for the Organizational Unit to which the equipment belongs
- Equipment location
- You must indicate: Campus, building, and room where the equipment is located
- Equipment list
- Type of equipment: Laptop, monitor, etc.
- Inventory number
- Serial number
- Brand
- Model
Note:If the inventory number and/or serial number does not appear in the search tool, select the OTHER option to enter the data manually.
- Authorizer
- Submit the request

- Click on «Send» to complete the process.
