Installation of the GLPI Inventory Agent for Windows

This tutorial will guide you through the installation of GLPI (Gestionnaire Libre de Parc Informatique) on a Windows computer. GLPI is a powerful asset management tool that we will use to enhance the security of our devices and the technological infrastructure at UMH.

Important Note: This tool does not access your personal data or the contents of your files. Its sole purpose is to collect technical information about the hardware and software installed on the device, such as the device model, operating system and software versions, and other technical details necessary to keep the infrastructure updated and secure.

 

Step-by-step Guide

 

  1. Download the automatic installer
    Click the following link: Install_GLPI.bat.
    Your browser may flag the file as suspicious. If so, choose “Keep”.

  2. Run the installer
    Once downloaded, run the file GLPI_Install.bat.
    When the User Account Control window appears, click “Yes”.
  3. Wait for the installation to complete
    The process may take a few minutes. Do not close the command window until a message confirms the installation is complete.
